SUM Slidell’s cohort, located in Slidell, Louisiana, operates in partnership with SUM Bible College and Theological Seminary to enhance the distance education that SUM provides. SUM is a fully accredited Bible college that is training men and women to proclaim Christ throughout the cities of our world! At SUM Slidell you will be able to gather with like-minded SUM students in a dynamic classroom environment while fulfilling the SUM experiential ministry and spiritual training requirements via the practical hands-on ministry training and transformational mentorship provided by SUM Slidell.

Doug and his childhood sweetheart Rachel married in 1981. They have raised 5 children and are currently enjoying their 2 precious grandchildren. In 1996, Doug and Rachel felt God leading them to plant Journey Fellowship Church in Slidell, La.  Journey began as a small group of 17 people, and 22 years later continues to serve the community with its mission to, "Help people become fully devoted followers of Christ." Doug is ordained with the AG and has served in several different capacities within the Fellowship helping to equip pastors and church planters for the ministry. Doug is passionate about raising up the next generation of world changers at SUM Slidell through personal mentorship, leadership training, and practical ministry experience.

Jennifer and her husband Al married in 2001 and are blessed with 4 children. They both serve as staff pastors at Journey Fellowship Church, where they gave their lives to Christ over 10 years ago. Jennifer and Al are both SUM Alumni and work together to mentor and guide students throughout their journey at SUM. They are passionate about helping people get from where they are to where God wants them to be.
